Treble Rookie? Week 12 of 40

Rookie goes for 3 in a row at Ironman UK : Week 12 of 40

Just wanted to wish yourselves and your families all the best for xmas.

I know a fair few of you have asked santa for my book this year and I wanted to say a massive thank you for your order.

It is my wish that you will love the book and remember, I absolutely adore getting your pics, thoughts and feedback so be sure to drop me a line via social media and let me know what you made of it once you have had a read.

On the training front, my training has been poor this week, I tried my best but managed one pool mile and one 10 mile bike TT before getting distracted by temptation.

But I am not concerned.

My advice is to enjoy yourself this Christmas, let your hair down and have some fun.

Don’t be the one sulking in the corner sipping tonic water thinking you can’t ‘join in’ because you have signed up for your first Ironman whilst the masses take full advantage of all the various delights on offer.

There is really no need to be so hard on yourself.

Party away with the best of em and we’ll get back on the fitness drive in the new year.

By the way, as you make your way round friends and family this Christmas, many of them will be in awe of what you are doing / have done (the Ironman) and quite rightly so.

I guarantee at some point, they will come out with the following iconic statement….

‘A full marathon after a 112 mile bike and a 2.4 mile swim all within strict cut of times?…Impossible!!…How the hell do you do it?

When they say this to you….

Do us a favour….

Tell em about me book….(and remember, it all starts with a 2.5km ‘fun run’)

Cheers
